A conversation with Eileen Reavey – National Popular Vote Initiative
February 24, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm Michigan
ROAD will present an online Zoom conversation with Eileen Reavey
Grass Roots Coordinator, National Popular Vote Initiative
Wednesday, February 24 at 7 p.m.
Under National Popular Vote, the candidate who gains the most votes becomes president of the US. It does not require a constitutional amendment and will not eliminate the electoral college.
16 states have already adopted legislation making it law in their states (not Michigan yet). It will not go into effect until states with at least 270 combined electoral votes adopt it. It has bipartisan support.
Eileen Reavey, National Popular Vote’s head grassroots organizer, will explain the plan in detail and identify what you can do to make this the law in Michigan. When fully implemented, it would guarantee that future presidential elections will result in the election of the candidates receiving the most votes.
We hope you are excited to learn more about how we might work together to make our presidential elections more democratic!
Onward together!

President of ROAD
